Route includes an ancient hill fort and attractive 17th century towerhouse by a small loch.  Ascent 410m.  OS Explorer 369.

Circular from Broughton on part of John Buchan way, returning by Hog Knowe, Grey Yade and Trahenna Hill. OS72

circular walk in Braid Hills, Blackford Pond area.On paths and tracks.  Some steep inclines. Good views over the city.

Join the Tweeddale group for a 8.0 mile strenuous walk.

From KCP up Venlaw, South Knowe, North Knowe, Collie Law and descend to Heathpool Common and Redscarhead. Cross A703 to pass Nether Kidston onto the old Drove Road skirting Hamilton Hill. Down to Standalane,then back to KCP by Rosetta Caravan Park, Delatho and Cuddyside.

Bankfoot to Dunkeld via Glen Garr, Rumbling Bridge and the Hermitage. Return to Bankfoot by bus.

Join the Linlithgow group for a 16.0 mile strenuous walk.

Glen Doll to Loch Muick. This circular walk starts from Glen Doll carpark. Parking charge applies. It is a long walk but on good tracks and paths. The outward route to Loch Muick is via Capel Mounth. The return is made across a plateau before dropping down into upper Glen Clova and following the South Esk river back to the start.

Leave KCP and take the old Drove road past Kailzie Hill. Then Birkscairn Hill, Stake Law, Peat Hill, Middle Rig, Whitehope Rig and Mountbenger Underhill to the Gordon Arms in the Yarrow valley.

Innerleithen to Galashiels. Linear walk. Initially up quite steep slopes in woodland then on undulating paths on open hillside. Ending on a part of the Southern Upland Way. Bring bus pass if applicable.

A local walk from Torphichen back to Linlithgow. Bus from the West Port to Torphichen, then walk to Beecraigs via the Korean war memorial and Witches Craig then back to Linlithgow on quiet roads and paths. Some steep steps involved and optional climb up Cockleroy.

Threipmuir and Harlaw Reservoirs. From Red Moss car park by Threipmuir and Harlaw Reservoirs. A pleasant walk.

Longniddry old railway walk. Longniddry to Haddington, Garlton Hills, Athelstaneford then on to Drem. Return by train.

Baddinsgill Farm along old drove road to Cauldstane Slap. West Cairn Hill, Colzium Hill, Wolf Craigs, Craigengar, Byrehope Mount, Baddinsgill Farm.

Devilla Forest. A pleasant circular walk by Peppermill Dam and the Moor Loch and through the forest starting and finishing at the car park.

From Melrose we walk alongside River Tweed to Newstead then Eildon Village, Bowden Village.

Along the river then steady walk up Laggan Hill.  Good paths and tracks with short section on road.  Ascent 200m.  OS Explorer 368.

Join the Linlithgow group for a 7.5 mile moderate walk.

Nine Mile Burn Circular. Pentlands walk circumnavigating Braid Law, ascending South Black Hill, Scald Law, East Kip, West Kip and descending via Green Law and Spittal Hill.

Starting from Kingsmeadow car park, a long, gradual ascent to the shoulder of Cademuir Hill. On minor roads, hill field paths, and riverside tracks. May be muddy in places. OS73 NT252402

Blackchester Fort Circular. Circular walk from Lauder mainly on good paths and tracks. Path follows old railway line towards Blackburn before heading uphill towards the early-British hill fort at Blackchester commanding fine views over Lauderdale.

From Bonaly upper car park, passing Bonaly, Glencorse, Clubbiedean and Torduff Reservoirs. Mostly on well used paths (muddy) and a short distance on quiet minor road.

Route takes in Cairnpapple Hill, Cockleroy Hill and Lochcote Reservoir.  Ascent 180m.  OS Explorer 349.

Join the Linlithgow group for a 6.0 mile leisurely walk.

Circular from Culross. Riverside walk round Preston Island then by Bluther Burn to Valleyfield Woodland Park and Kirkbrae Wood back to Culross.

Ballinluig to Dunkeld. A linear walk from Ballinluig to Dunkeld along quiet country roads, farm tracks and forest roads. High along the Tay valley with excellent views. Remember your bus pass as travel by bus to the start of the walk.

Drive to St.Boswells. Bus to Harestanes [bring bus passes] Harestanes Visitor Centre, Dere Street [Roman Road], Maxton, River Tweed back to St. Boswells.

Creag Uchdag (Corbett) from Glen Lednock. Creag Uchdag is a little known summit rising above the boggy plateaux and broken crags between Loch Tay and Glen Lednock. Few paths and some rough ground.

Scotlandwell to Falkland linear via Munduff Hill, Bishop Hill and Craigmead. Short bus journeys at start and end of the walk. Bus from Glenrothes bus station to Scotlandwell. Frequent service from Falkland to Glenrothes at the end.

Creag Mhor (Munro). Starting from Kenknock, level walking in Glen Lochay before the ascent of Creag Mhor.

Circular sea-side walk from Tyninghame Links to Ravensheuch Sands, St. Baldred's Cove, Seacliff. OS67 NT625808

Join the Linlithgow group for a 8.4 mile moderate walk.

Lauder Blackchester Fort. Starting in Lauder we walk up to Trabrown Farm and Kennels to Whitlaw Pilmuir and Blackchester Fort, returning via Lauder Light Railway track back to Lauder. This walk is mainly on farm tracks with gradual ascent. Ascent 188m (620ft). OS 73

We leave KCP to join the Gypsy Glen onto Kailzie hill. After Lunch we visit Haystoun Estate for their once a year “Open Garden Day”

Norman's Law and Glenduckie Hill. A circular walk encompassing the sites of 2 hill forts, Norman's Law and Glenduckie Hill, with panoramic views at the top. The walk is through a mixture of open farmland and woodland. Livestock may be present in some fields.
